Usha Thakur grew up in an environment steeped in patriotism and literature. Her father was an active freedom fighter, and her grandfather the legendary poet Dinkar. This heritage naturally instilled in her a deep sense of social responsibility.

Usha Thakur played a pivotal role in the rescue and rehabilitation of nearly 40 abducted and trafficked girls. Despite immense challenges, she arranged safe shelter, education, and a path to self-reliance. Today, these women live with dignity and independence.
